Under Russian law it is illegal to send identification documents abroad. But there is a need for a pass from Russia to London will be sent by DHL or UPS. Is it possible to detect a hidden passport or hide just a way to produce a passport that can not be recognized, too?

I do not see how a passport or other object can be seen non-metallic/non-chemical be unpacked. It is clear (unless I'm not missing something), open for no good reason.
The only way is to see whether the passport had special metallic chemical element or elements, but this is certainly not the case.
In addition, there is virtually no possibility of a book with information on the passport of a newspaper or a card from another card to be distinguished.
